The khoury technique has two possibilities for vertical augmentation. Like in your slides placing plates buccal and lingual. But the other one is buccal and supracrestal. Can you also do this with the cortical lamina?

It seemed like the lamina (on the upper jaw case) was additionally covered with the collagen membrane (small pins on x-ray). Why do you need it?
