Clinical indications and healing behaviour of gradually absorbable collagenic biomaterials
Presentation of the behavior of biomaterials and their volumetric changes through the description of 3 case reports. Histological results of the use of xenogeneic cortical lamina in addition to cortico-cancellous collagenous material.
During the lecture, the biological principles underlying the use of bone substitutes will be summarized and the types of biomaterials will be described. The characteristics necessary to select the correct biomaterial in relation to the specific case will be explained in detail so that the listener can learn the key factors underlying clinical choices. 3 case reports are described which, through careful planning and a specific selection of the correct biomaterial, will allow obtaining an excellent clinical result. Each clinical case will discuss the use of different biomaterials and their respective application in the specific area.
