Fundamentals of anatomical dissection for regenerative implant procedures
A clinician who specialises in oral surgery and implantology is always very focused on the purely technical aspects of a surgical intervention, represented by the design of the flap, techniques for preparing the implant site, and the corresponding instruments used, as well as suturing techniques. Often, there is a neglect of adequate preparation on the surgical anatomy of the oro-facial district studied years earlier only in a theoretical manner.
A modern and ethical therapeutic approach presupposes applying procedures and techniques that preserve the sensitivity and function of the operated parts. In-depth knowledge of anatomical basics is the essential prerequisite for operating safely and calmly, without fears and anxieties. For this reason, during the presentation, anatomical aspects will be integrated with diagnostic radiology and clinical procedures, among which ample space will be dedicated to periosteal release techniques and maxillary sinus surgery.
Learning objectives:
- To understand the importance of anatomical knowledge in regenerative implant procedures.
- To learn the key anatomical structures relevant to implant dentistry, including bones, nerves, blood vessels and soft tissues.
- To acquire the necessary skills for safe and accurate management of anatomical structures in the context of implant surgery.
